ACOUSTIC DESIGN & CONSULTANCY

We provide specialist acoustic design consultancy throughout the project programme, helping clients deliver high-performing, compliant and comfortable buildings. Working collaboratively with architects, developers, engineers and contractors, we integrate acoustic design from concept through to completion, supporting projects across the residential, education, workplace, hospitality and industrial sectors.

Our consultancy spans all RIBA Plan of Work stages, from feasibility and planning through detailed design, construction and post-completion verification. We provide practical, evidence-based advice on building acoustics, room acoustics, sound insulation, environmental noise, vibration and mechanical services noise, ensuring acoustic performance is considered alongside architectural, structural and building services requirements.

Designs are developed in accordance with relevant British Standards, Approved Documents and industry guidance, including Approved Document E, Approved Document O, BB93, BS 8233, BS EN ISO 12354, and other project-specific standards. We also support project teams in meeting the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022, providing clear, auditable acoustic information that contributes to the safe design, construction and occupation of higher-risk and complex buildings and comply with the Golden Thread.
