PLANT NOISE ASSESSMENTS

We provide plant noise assessments for proposed and existing building-services, commercial and industrial equipment, including rooftop plant, chillers, condensers, extract systems, generators and refrigeration equipment. Assessments consider the proposed operation, nearby noise-sensitive receptors and the existing acoustic environment.

Where required, we undertake background noise measurements and assess plant noise in accordance with BS 4142 and relevant Local Authority requirements. We can establish suitable noise limits, review equipment selections and locations, develop practical mitigation measures and prepare technical reports to support planning applications or condition discharge.
